Greetings
My name is Kierra Goosby. I worked in and around small businesses and non profit organizations for almost a decade before founding Golden Rod Consultants, LLC in 2021. Cash flow is one of the most common issues for small business owners. Grant funding can provide the financial security a small business needs to accelerate growth and expand program offerings. As an experienced Grant Writer, Grants Manager and proposal reviewer, I help small businesses take the stress out of grant writing and submit stellar proposals.
My Story
My work with non profits began on a small urban farm in Florida. I became well versed in nonprofit management at the intersection of grassroots organizing and fundraising. While working in the nonprofit sector, I earned a series of credentials in Project Management and became a Project Management Professional skilled in Agile and Scrum techniques. During my nonprofit career, I managed teams, budgets, and communications and thoroughly understood the requirements of running a successful organization. I bring all of this lived experience with me as I research and select the grants my clients are most likely to win. The preliminary research is only half the battle. Once we choose an opportunity, I craft a proposal with a comprehensive budget that reflects the actual cost of doing business and sets realistic expectations for achieving project or program goals.
Small businesses are the backbone of the United States of America. They are the community leaders, support systems, and inspiration for the next generation. Unfortunately, the work of the small business owner is never finished, and many small business owners (especially Black business owners) are bootstrapping or taking on debt to realize their business dreams. Golden Rod Consultants, LLC gives small businesses financial stability while they work towards their business goals.
